Madeleine d'Ambrosio, TIAA-CREF Institute executive director, spoke at a session during this conference that was dedicated to participant communications. Her presentation includes an overview of TIAA-CREF, a discussion on TIAA-CREF's strategies geared toward participant communication efforts, and also on ways to promote retirement savings via employer-provided pension plans in the U.S.
Ms. d'Ambrosio discloses many of the ongoing efforts undertaken by the company to encourage teachers to participate in their TIAA-CREF pension plans and to help them choose the best investment and distribution options for retirement. This presentation concludes with a discussion of some research findings that specifically addresses improving participation rates and the impact of financial education.
