The TIAA-CREF Institute, in cooperation with NACUBO, presented this conference which was tailored to colleges and universities with endowments of less than $200 million. Attendees included chief financial officers, senior investment officers, treasurers, and university foundation officers. This seminar included discussion on:
- the "spending crisis" resulting from negative investment returns and bloated budgets
- highlights from the 2002 NACUBO Endowment Study with further analysis of data from institutions with smaller endowments
- how to manage endowments with little or no investment staff
- suggestions for enhancing institutions’ planned giving programs
- insights for portfolio structure and the outlook for financial markets
