Medicare Financing: Outlook and Implications for Higher Education

Medicare is likely to place an unsustainable financial burden on the federal budget as currently structured. The resulting short- and long-term congressional policies affecting the program are - and will most likely remain - in a state of flux with uncertain, problematic consequences for institutions of higher education.
