NEW YORK, NY – April 1, 2009 – The TIAA-CREF Institute, a respected source of expert research and information on building lifelong financial security and higher education issues, announced today the re-launch of its web site, www.tiaa-crefinstitute.org

The new site, www.tiaa-crefinstitute.org, organizes the wealth of research and information created by both TIAA-CREF experts and Institute Fellows into two major categories: the Series on Financial Security and the Series on Higher Education.  Articles and information are also grouped by topic so visitors can focus on areas of interest.

The site includes new features like an option allowing users to receive emailed information based on selected topics they choose right in their inbox. There is a new section called, “What’s Hot,” which will direct users to the most recent TIAA-CREF Institute research with one easy click. Visitors can also access information about the latest conferences or Institute events and watch thought-provoking videos.

“The TIAA-CREF Institute helps those we serve make informed decisions about lifelong financial security and the business of higher education,” said Madeleine d’Ambrosio, Vice President and Executive Director, the TIAA-CREF Institute. “And our newly designed website puts the extensive research that both our TIAA-CREF experts and Fellows contribute to right at users fingertips.”

For example, viewers can find research and publications geared towards the relevant retirement topics of the day such as retiree healthcare, the role of annuities, early and phased retirement.  Users can also tune into a conversation about leadership excellence with Father Theodore M. Hesburgh, president emeritus of Notre Dame and Dr. Graham Spanier, president of Penn State University and winner of the 2009 TIAA-CREF Hesburgh Award.   Other keynote speaker videos from the annual TIAA-CREF Institute Higher Education Leadership Conference include: Fareed Zakaria, Editor, Newsweek International & CNN Host and Roger W. Ferguson Jr., President and CEO, TIAA-CREF, speaking about higher education in a global society.
