Grants

The TIAA-CREF Institute Research Grant Program was established to encourage scholars to pursue rigorous and sophisticated research in areas of interest to TIAA-CREF and those we serve, such as retirement income security issues and strategic issues in higher education.

HOW TO APPLY?

Researchers who are interested in applying for a grant are strongly advised to submit a brief letter of inquiry to determine whether the Institute's present interests and budget allow consideration of the request.  The letter should be submitted to Dr. David Richardson via email at dprichardson@tiaa-cref.org.

The letter should include the following four items:

1) A short description of the project
2) Estimated overall budget
3) Period of time for which funds are requested, and
4) Names of researchers who will be conducting the research. 

The Institute will respond to the inquiry and may ask the grant seeker to submit a formal proposal.
