Your investment committee plays a key role in the successful management of your institution's endowment. In this presentation, moderated by Mimi Lord of the TIAA-CREF Institute, Jane Mendillo of Wellesley College and Jay Namyet of the University of Oregon Foundation will share their insights on developing highly effective relationships between the investment committee and the investment staff. They will discuss the most important roles and responsibilities of the investment committee, as well as the types of activities they should not be involved in.
The first full-time investment professionals at their respective institutions, Ms. Mendillo and Mr. Namyet will describe how they began to implement changes in their endowment policies, including asset allocations, manager changes, and operating procedures. Join Mimi Lord as she explores best practices with Chief Investment Officers at two of the top performing endowments for 10-year compounded rates of return.
