Robert Ring
Director
Robert Ring has served as a Director of the TIAA-CREF Institute since January 2007. Rob manages the Institute website, helps develop and execute the Institute’s strategic plan and serves as a liaison with other TIAA-CREF business units to ensure alignment of Institute initiatives with business objectives and client interests.
Rob joined TIAA-CREF in 1991 and spent his first fifteen years working with institutional clients. Rob was responsible for defining and implementing the business strategy and managing the company’s institutional relationships with several of TIAA-CREF's largest and most significant clients. His responsibilities included providing guidance on retirement plan design, administration and compliance as well as coordinating the design and delivery of employee financial education programs and retirement and investment counseling. Rob has also led numerous strategic initiatives in his years with TIAA-CREF, including implementing a customized retirement plan administration platform, directing legislative efforts to expand faculty defined contribution retirement plan coverage at public institutions and helping establish the TIAA-CREF Trust Company.
Rob received his BS in Consumer Economics from Cornell University and is a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist.
